Long Distance Relationship

Even with distance technology brings everyone closer. 

I am the type of person who needs to see to believe, needs to feel to understand, and touch to experience. And this is precisely the point when it comes to my relationships. I need to be completely in it, to make it work (or even think that it'll work). With that I'll say cuddos for those in long distance relationships.

Relationships are hard. And those in LDR (long distance relationships) have the extra strain of distance between them. I won't lie, it isn't easy. But, there are many who make it work.



So, how do these couples make LDR work while making it look easy? Here are a few tips that I've noticed they do from a few friends of mine in LDR's of their own (and it works well).

1. Take sex outside the bedroom

You can't always have it when you want. But, you sure can manipulate it anyway you want, virtually that is. Pick up a phone and talk in your most seductive voice. A naughty text always steams things up. And if you're feeling daring Skype it out- naked. Don't worry about being shy once you get lost in the moment together- how it happened won't even matter.

2. Have a list of dates when you'll visit each other

It's always beautiful when you see your loved one after time apart. But, it's just as sad when you have to say goodbye. Make sure to plan out a few tentative dates when you'll be able to visit each other. That way 'goodbye' isn't so hard on you because you already know the next time you'll be together.

3. Take advantage of the mail man

Who doesn't love a care package? Send each other unexpected gifts, sweet cards, and their favorite candies.

4. Do things at the same time

Quality time is important even if you're not in the same zip code. Spends time together by playing the same games and watching the same shows. So take a walk on the beach and look up at the same moon- all through your phone!

5. Talk every day

This is important for everyone. Just because you can't be around each other doesn't mean you can't be with each other. Sharing every day activities makes you feel connected and in the know.

6. Trust

There is no room for jealousy. You can't be there to keep tabs on them. So it's important to have trust in them and yourself.


Not only do my friends make it work but, they make it easy as pie. (I guess that depends on what pie you bake.) But, if you need more help on LDR's don't hesitate to get creative.
